SUE
My journey to becoming a designer and eventually owning Cabinet World was a windy one. I began my career at an engineering firm in New Jersey, where I developed a strong foundation of planning, organizing, and basic business skills. In 1997, I moved to a rural town in New York to raise my family. I took on a role as a marketing merchandiser, which had me traveling all over New York. This was a great way for me to experience different branding styles and visual presentations. I eventually picked up a second job as a sales representative at a high-end furniture store where I learned about craftsmanship, textiles, and design. It was there that I met the owners of Cabinet World. They admired my attention to detail and my knowledge of how furniture was made and the types of wood. They recruited me to work for them in 2001, and by 2007, I became the owner. I found this is where I really shine. Always having a creative eye, I quickly put my clients at ease by showing them unique ways to pull their vision together. I enjoy meeting people in our community and helping them transform their homes. I get to manage and mold new designers and help them find their unique skill sets. I love watching them grow and develop their own sense of design style.
AMANDA
I have always had a love of art, fashion, and anything design, but my path to get here was diverse. After graduating from college in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business, I went on to manage a popular clothing store in Buffalo, NY. In 2008, I found myself moving closer to home to be near my family and took on a new challenge of managing a financial institution. I loved my job, my team, and my customers, but I needed to find a career that would allow me to be more creative. In 2014, I went back to school for interior decorating and finally felt like I was headed in the right direction. I reached out to Cabinet World to see if they needed an intern while I finished my certification, and luckily for me, they did! A decade later, my management background has helped me guide my clients through the design process with clarity and ease. I face each project with passion, whether it is a small room remodel or a complete new build. My goal is to help people create a space that is beautiful and unique to their needs, that they will love for years to come.
KAYLEE
My career path hasn’t followed a straight line, and that’s exactly what makes my approach so unique. I grew up immersed in the construction world, gaining hands-on experience from an early age. From job site walkthroughs to learning how things are built, I developed a deep respect for craftsmanship and the realities of building—insights that still guide my work today. I started my professional journey in the high-speed world of motorsports, where precision, efficiency, and attention to detail were everything. Eventually, my creative side took the lead, and I found myself drawn to interior design. A space where I could blend my technical background with artistic vision. Today, I bring that rare combination of builder’s logic and designer’s eye to every project. I love creating spaces that you’ll make lasting memories in—places that feel personal, purposeful, and beautiful. My goal is to craft designs that are as functional as they are inspiring, where every detail tells a story and serves a purpose.
RUE
Rue is our beloved French Bulldog and the heart of the showroom. She’s here every day to greet clients, offer emotional support during countertop decisions, and keep an eye on all things stylish—especially when it involves warm floors and cozy kitchen corners.
While she may not know the difference between quartz and granite, she's a firm believer in good taste (and good treats). Whether she's lounging by the tile samples or snoozing in a sunny spot near the vanities, Rue brings warmth, charm, and just the right amount of sass to our kitchen and bath design space.
She takes her role very seriously—and by that we mean she's seriously adorable.
