About AMANDA

My journey to becoming a designer and eventually owning Cabinet World was a windy one. I began my career at an engineering firm in New Jersey, where I developed a strong foundation of planning, organizing, and basic business skills. In 1997, I moved to a rural town in New York to raise my family. I took on a role as a marketing merchandiser, which had me traveling all over New York. This was a great way for me to experience different branding styles and visual presentations. I eventually picked up a second job as a sales representative at a high-end furniture store where I learned about craftsmanship, textiles, and design. It was there that I met the owners of Cabinet World. They admired my attention to detail and my knowledge of how furniture was made and the types of wood. They recruited me to work for them in 2001, and by 2007, I became the owner. I found this is where I really shine. Always having a creative eye, I quickly put my clients at ease by showing them unique ways to pull their vision together. I enjoy meeting people in our community and helping them transform their homes. I get to manage and mold new designers and help them find their unique skill sets. I love watching them grow and develop their own sense of design style.
